Embracing Change
A special class on how to incorporate some physical and emotional changes accompanying mid life into continued enjoyment of physical activity. The concept of “embracing change” offers an alternative to the “mid-life crisis” which is often triggered by constant, painful reminders during exercise of the fact of advancing age. Those attending will learn ways to prevent pain in their regular classes and other physical activities as well as ways to feel good again and build a positive association with maturity.

Workshop: Your Feet, Your Hands That Touch the Earth
A workshop to introduce the ways The Nia Technique uses feet to support and ground the entire body. Participants learn to safely exercise and move in bare feet, ways to use the whole foot, to create balance and stability beginning with the feet, and the relationship of feet to overall well-being.
